MEDITATION

Meditation is a mind and body practice that has a long history of use for increasing calmness and physical relaxation, improving psychological balance, coping with illness, and enhancing overall health and well-being. When meditating an individual uses a technique – such as focusing the mind on a particular object – to train attention. The aim is to reconnect with a mentally clear and emotionally calm and stable state of wellbeing. There are numerous meditation techniques, different methods can be useful at different stages of life or in different circumstances. Today there is a great deal of published research on the many health benefits of meditation.

MEDITATION TRAINING

I teach meditation on both a one-to-one basis or to groups. The training I offer comprises of four sections that progressively build on each other. Each section is made up of three hour-long sessions, which can be taken separately or together. I recommend a certain time of practice between sections so students can familiarize themselves with the techniques they have just learnt before moving onto new ones. It is up to each individual how they want to space out the training and how far they want to go with it. There is also optional study material in case students want to go deeper.

1-In the first section individuals are taught basic mindfulness and awareness techniques.

2-In the second section more complex practices are taught that involve using visualisations, contemplations and voice.

3-The third section involves more advanced methods which use techniques employed in certain types of kundalini yoga and some sufi practices using the breath.

4-The fourth section comprises of advanced techniques that develop on those taught in the third stage.

 

ADDITIONAL COURSES

I also offer trainings on the following subjects: improving communication, understanding and working with our emotions, and better decision making. Each course is made up of three hour-long sessions that can be taken together or separately.

COMPANIES AND INSTITUTIONS

I also teach meditation courses in institutions and companies. I can either do any of the above trainings for companies or tailor individually designed programmes depending on what is required.
